Rings Sorted

Thank you to everyone who has let us know they’ll be joining us and told us what they want to eat. We’ll pass those details on to the venue once the stragglers catch up. While we wait we thought we’d write another post here to provide some new material for anyone who checks this site with any regularity.

We have been busy sorting out the things we need for the wedding. In recent weeks we gave notice to Southwark Council (there’s still time to register any objections), picked out most of our outfits: Marina picked a dress a few weeks ago and George picked up his suit last week. While spending the weekend in Norwich, we picked out our wedding rings and they are now ordered and will be ready in a few weeks. And of course we recently sent out invitations to all of you as well.

There are a few jobs left to do, some we are very excited for (exactly how over-the-top we go with the cake is a good problem to have) and some aren’t quite so interesting (if anyone fancies picking table layouts for us, we’d be open to that). We’re still putting together a wedding playlist and taking suggestions (see previous post for what sort of songs we need).

For those of you who need to stay, we recommend booking accommodation sooner rather than later. We made a page with some recommendations. If people go for the Dog & Fox like us, please let us know and we will try to get a discount for everyone in our party.

The challenge for those who read this post is to think of recommendations of interesting things to do for those who are travelling to London. All suggestions welcome but especially so with any less-known attractions and activities that won’t be on the front page of every guide to London.
